tiwa may at its discretion accept occasional applications from non appointed agents where it is clear there has been no active recruitment or representation by that agent on tiwa's behalf the agent must simply be responding to a student or parent's request for assistance when they have specifically requested tafe in western australia there is not a hard rule where tiwa accept a set number of one off applications for students from any agent, irrespective of agreement typically, one off applications lean towards quality student applications from lower risk regions the one off application avenue allows tiwa to consider applications from agents without an agreement, depending on the situation and candidate however, the ultimate decision as to whether a student application is accepted is up to the discretion of the tiwa recruitment team, based on various criteria in regards to acceptable risk this can may include any combination of the following migration strategy announcements and criteria risk rating levels current student intakes from the region onshore or offshore applications student profile and history agent history other factors for any student applications accepted by one off applications of unregistered agents, standard commissions apply which can be discussed directly with the tiwa recruitment team tiwa always has a right to refuse any one off application
